Too small and lightweight!

Concept of using a chain rather than loose items (loose weights, beans, rice, etc) is great for removal and cleanup....but this chain doesn't weigh anything!! It is simply not heavy enough to hold the pie crust down and against pan sides while baking--crust still shrinks away from pan. You would need MULTIPLES of this particular chain for enough weight and volume to come up high enough on crust to hold sides up.....this chain just sits in the bottom in a lame puddle. Might be sufficient for mini-pies or tarts, but buy something else if you bake traditional 9" pies.But on bright side, shipper sent item crazy fast.

Simply buy this and forget the ceramic pie marbles.

I bought this at a great price since I was tired of chasingAround the ceramic individual type pie weights and scoopingThem from the crust. This is much better product especiallyIf your making a 9 inch full size pie or quiche crust.Marbles might be better for smaller tart type pans , so IWill still use the marbles also for smaller sizeCrusts.
