I had been trying to find a stainless steel pastry blender for sometime. I checked with Amazon and there it was. Great. It's not too big, just fits my hand and makes it easier when I make pie crist. Very easy to controll.

This blender did not work well at all. Too narrow so that you couldn't grip well when blending the pastry dough. It also was very slippery at the handle. It was not packaged well either. Received it with the tines bent because it only shipped in a padded envelope which was badly damaged.

Not worth your money, the clamping action is very weak and the unit itself is very decrepit. It does roll and cut thus 2 stars but beyond that a steady hand and a ruler are infinitely more useful and precise.

Heavy Duty Cleaning Brush

This cleaning brush is very large and is perfect for a heavy duty cleaning job. Myself, the only pot I have large enough for this brush is my roasting pan. It is nice to have a scrubber to handle the toughest jobs, but won't leave scratches on the surface of the pan.Would recommend this to anyone that has large items to clean, and needs a scrubber to tackle them.

First of all, pay attention to the size. This thing is really huge.The cleaning part...rather disappointing. First time I used it was to clean a cast iron frying pan. I usually use a nylon brush with no detergent (never on my cast iron!) and this brush did not clean as well as the little nylon brush does.Haven't tried it on my steel wok, where I do use soap, and maybe that will be the difference.Anyway, if it doesn't work on my wok, I suppose I can use it to brush my dogs. Although its size makes it more suitable for brushing a horse.

I purchased two of these little brushes and they have been an invaluable addition to my kitchen arsenal!I love the small size for kitchen jobs because a larger one would be cumbersome and clumsy for me. They are easy to clean and seem quite durable. I have been using mine for probably a year now and they look just like brand new still.Another thing I appreciate about these particular brushes is that they are ALL silicone. I don't like the hassle of having wooden, or other materials, handles with my silicone tools. Since they are all silicone they are very easy to clean and handle.

Pros: Excellent machining; reinforcement 'bars' to prevent wrapping; enough weight to hold bacon strips flat during cooking.Cons: Dangerous handle design: The design of the handle mounting was not very well designed. If you look closely at the wood handle attachments to the handle supports, you can see that the aluminum supports are about the same level as the handle. And, the handle is too short for most of us 'wanna be' male chefs. This means that when we grasp the handle like we do about every tool that we have, parts of our hands are going to contact the aluminum support posts. And guess what? The aluminum support post will be about the same temperature as the bottom of the steak weight. You will only do this a time or two and the pain will go away - eventually. Aluminum transfers heat rapidly and this causes the handle supports to heat up at about the same rate as the base.The aluminum handle supports should have been to the outer ends of the Steak/Bacon weight allowing for a longer handle. I am going to take the handle off and try to put some heat shrink tubing on the top of the posts and see if this will help. If I don't then I know the next time I use the Steak/Bacon weight I will have lost the memory of the pain. And I will probably grab the handle like I normally would instead of daintily using two fingers and my thumb like I would if I was picking up an egg.Recommend: NO

I bought one of these a while back to combat "curly bacon syndrome." It came nicely packaged and on time. It's great for putting on steaks and bacon while cooking but it's not so great at keeping you from burning your hand.As you would expect the metal parts get very hot. The handle design makes it VERY easy to touch the metal and burn your hand. Use caution with this. I will look for a different design if/when I purchase another item like this.

This baster is low priced and great - I have it in both the large and small size. I had one before with a heavier handle, but it would not sit in the sauce bowl without flipping out, and this one is light and stays put. Not sure why I had to scroll through about 14 Amazon pages to find it, but I am getting more as gifts for friends. I put it in the dishwasher on the top shelf and it's fine.
