Terrible - tiny and shoddy
Gardener

Lost my long time wire pastry blender and I've been searching for another, and made in USA. What a failure. The handle is tiny so no way to get a good grip. In fact, the whole thing is tiny. The screws are too small for the holes so the handle rocks back and forth when you blend. This is really little more than an toy. Just junk. I won't bother to return it; will try to fix with bigger screws but what a huge disappointment.

This product is terrible. It's very flimsy and uncomfortable to use. One of the wires came unattached the first time I used it. I tossed it and am currently searching for a new one. What a waste of money.

This is a handy tool to use when "cutting in" per recipe instructions. I remember my mother having a similar model growing up. I like the wooden handle. It is more comfortable to use then the metal. I am only ranking three stars instead of five because the width between the bars is slim. I have used this to make pastry crusts and the dough stuck in the bars. I do not remember having this issue with another version of this handy kitchen tool. Besides, you do not have to cut the dough into too fine particles for it to work. This would not work well for a recipe calling for any degree of coarseness. I cannot say with any degree of accuracy whether it was my particular pastry blender that had this issue with spacing but the rungs did not seem evenly spaced or spaced widely enough. I will say it did the job reasonably enough well that I did not return it. Its a pastry cutter and I do not use it frequently enough to warrant a more expensive version. I bought it primarily for the low price point. You will do fine using this for the occasional baking powder biscuit or pastry crust at Thanksgiving.
