not to much to say purchase this item,description does not give it justice,very nice item heavy will not slide around counter top ,i use it for everything NOT JUST BREAD

I absolutely love this pastry board! It has very nice weight to it and nothing sticks. Clean-up is very nice which makes baking even more fun. I used the board for the first time to make homemade cinnamon rolls, and it was so easy to roll the dough up with this board. I wish it was a little bit bigger, but I will be purchasing a larger one!

This is exactly what it appears to be: a large slab of gorgeous polished dark marble. The stone is less than an inch thick, but thick enough to be very sturdy (probably a little more than 0.5"). One side is unpolished and has four plastic feet attached to it. The feet aren't very grippy, but there are all kinds of ways to deal with that without spending any more money. I use mine to roll out tortillas - it works perfectly. I couldn't be more pleased.
