User Opinions

Not very good
Ryal T. Bird

Had NO luck using this attachment. The filling would just 'squish' out of the top of the press & when I put in less filling, the dough would just stick together with nothing in between. I also didn't like how terribly difficult it is to clean this item. The manufacturer says to not use soap or water, but I can't see how one could clean the dough and filling out of all the tiny spaces & crevices without using water. The thing needs to be taken apart to get it really clean & most stuffing calls for eggs so, I wouldn't NOT want to use soap and water. Overall, I'm dissatisfied with the design & build of this item. With that being said, I do like this company's pasta maker that the attachment is made for, although that too is hard to clean and again, they don't recommend washing it other than wiping it down. Going to buy just a simple ravioli press, probably would yield better results.

Better Instructions

I don't really hate it, I cannot understand the directions and as a result, cannot use it. I would like better instructions so that I can use it.

Ok attachment for making lightly-filled ravioli
Kat T

As the reviewer below said filling does come out the top while you are rolling. I found this is OK though as that filling becomes incorporated into the next ravioli. So I just try to add enough for the whole sheet and then roll the lot. Once I started that I had better results. The ravioli produced are only lightly filled, this worked perfectly for my pesto cheesy filled ravioli, which was an instant hit with the in-laws :). These are not the huge ravioli you would get at olive garden! As for the cleaning it is a pain, but think a damp rag would do the trick. All in all its a pretty good product for its price. I can't compare to a ravioli press as never had one.
