SOFT AND GENTLE!

I like this Brush "HIC Brands 11 inch Silicone Brush, Blueberry" It is Exactly what I was looking for, Soft Enough so when I brush the Tops of Bread Loaves and Buns with an Egg-Wash before I put them in the Oven do Not Deflate and that's what happens with a heavier brush when I slather any liquids over them they Shrink if I'm not carefull. I am a busy Baker sometimes (not professional) and I want my Baked Goods to look the Best. However it is Strong Enough for just about anything else in the Kitchen, I had no Problems. now, if you going to use it for heavier jobs in Barbecues or Big Ovens to brush on Big Racks of Ribs you might need a MOP, because this one will not hold a lot of sauce. I got a couple of brushes from Rachael Ray, Silicone as well and they are a little heavier, also I like the fact that the HIC Essentials Brush is longer 11 inches so I am happy with this one,...Hey you didn't think I could be Exited about a Brush!...do you? Thank You

One of the better ones I've used.

FYI--made in China. I've begun making a concerted effort to purchase items made in the USA. Unfortunately this information is not always available in the descriptions.I like the green color which makes it easier to find in a drawer. The length is a bonus for me. It's definitely a better option than the "paint" brush type brushes that lose their bristles in the sauce or on the food.

bristles are too soft

I bought one of these silicone brushes from Pier One that I really liked. I saw that this one was a little bigger so I purchased it. Although the color is bright and cheerful, I think that the bristles are too soft. It works well to spread juices over meat while it is cooking but it's not quite tough enough to spread BBQ sauce over chicken on the grill. I love that the silicone brushes are so easy to clean.
