I really like having the case. My kids lost my last one, which didn't have a case, and if you weren't in the know, you probably would have no idea what it was. I think my old one may have fallen between the stove and the countertop....This one is much harder to misplace, due to the case. And a cake tester is MUCH nicer than the toothpick method...you don't have to get your hand so far into the oven.

Wilton is Right On Time -- As Usual. This Tester is something small but very useful. I'm currently disabled, have a lot of free time and baking/cooking has become my new obsession so I love anything that makes things easier.

I wanted a new cake tester since my old one got caught in the dishwasher and bent 10 years ago. This is a must for deep cakes like Bundt. I ordered extras for stocking stuffers. The cover fits too loosely, but otherwise a very handy item.
